Featuring stories of Japanese-Canadian students

Hello, Hello!

Welcome back to another school year. Campus is once again brimming with students scurrying to their classes (me included).

Since the start of classes, we’ve been busy meeting and greeting both old and new friends.

Want to learn more about us? Drop by our office – NEST 2208 – for weekly section meetings and on Fridays at 4 p.m. to chat with us about what’s going on at The Ubyssey.

On the cover of our latest print issue, you’ll find a story of Japanese Canadian students, Hannah and Troy, accompanied by artwork by our amazing visual and photo editors.

A story told through the lens of two Yonsei students, it explores the resilience and metamorphosis of the Japanese Canadian community stretches over four generations.

Here is some cool content we’ve worked on since you last heard from us.

The news section has been busy covering events.

Sports has been covering UBC Football, which is back and looking like a real contender this year.

Culture has been busy attending the Fringe Festival

Hope to see more y’all around!
