Happy spring, everyone!

While it might seem impossible to take a break with all the studying and final assignments on your plate, remember to treat yourself to some silly little outside time — it’s been months since we’ve all seen the sun, after all. Take a walk around campus to see the cherry blossoms or have a picnic with your friends.

Springtime also means the end of term. Be on the lookout for our year-in-review issue — where we highlight the top stories, photos and other moments of the year — that’ll be out on stands starting Wednesday, April 12. We’ll also be having our Board of Directors annual general meeting at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 6 in the Robert H. Lee Boardroom. Come by if you want to hear about our finances — and for free food.

Good luck with the rest of the term, everyone! And, hope y’all have a lovely long weekend, whether you’re celebrating anything or not.

The Ubyssey Publications Society’s Board of Directors’ annual general meeting (AGM) will take place on April 6 at 2:30 p.m. in the Robert H Lee Family Boardroom in the Alumni Centre on UBC’s Vancouver campus.

At our AGM, we’ll discuss the state of our finances, our strategic plan and the year’s operations. Reports will be given by the coordinating editor, business manager, alumni representative and president. The AGM is your chance to get more involved in The Ubyssey’s business side, as well as a chance to voice your opinions on its direction. The Board of Directors is not involved in the editorial operations of The Ubyssey.

All members of the Ubyssey Publications Society (UPS) are eligible to attend and speak at the meeting — you’re a member of the UPS if you paid your full Ubyssey fee this year. You’re also free to attend online over Zoom. Click this link to attend online.

Those attending the AGM will be able to win prizes such as gift cards to local businesses like Uncle Fatih’s Pizza. We’ll also have snacks and drinks at the meeting.
